This Cookie Policy explains how Ceyltech ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) when you visit our website and use our application (the "Service").

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies are commonly used to make websites work properly, improve security, and remember your session (for example, to keep you logged in).
2. What are "similar technologies"?
In addition to cookies, browsers also provide other storage mechanisms such as local storage (sometimes called "browser storage"). Local storage can store application settings so the Service works smoothly (for example, remembering your light or dark theme and your check settings).
3. How we use cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies required to operate the Service securely and reliably (for example, login/session management and basic application functionality).
With your consent, we also use analytics technologies (Google Analytics (GA4)) to understand how our website and Service are used (for example, which pages are visited and how long pages take to load) so we can improve performance and user experience.
Analytics cookies are set only after you press Accept in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you press Decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. In the application (the checker, the Dashboard and Settings), analytics counts page visits only. See section 4.2 to change your choice.
We do not use cookies for:
- advertising or marketing
- cross-site tracking
- selling personal data
- third-party marketing profiles
If we introduce additional categories of cookies (for example, marketing cookies) in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, provide an appropriate cookie consent choice.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or navigating within the application.

Note: Cookie names and durations may vary slightly depending on your environment (for example, local development vs. production). The purpose remains the same: essential login/session and security functionality.
4.1 Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
Only if you press Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets these cookies to help us understand usage and improve the Service:

We have switched off Google's advertising features (Google signals and ad personalisation), so the analytics data is not used for advertising. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. How Google uses this information: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4.2 Your choice
The first time you visit, a small banner asks whether we may use analytics. Accept and Decline are equally easy, and nothing is chosen in advance. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, see section 5), so the banner does not ask again on every page.
You can change your mind at any time. If you decline after accepting, the Google Analytics cookies are removed.
5. Local storage (browser storage)
Our application uses local storage to remember certain application preferences so the user experience remains consistent (for example: your light or dark theme, your check settings, your highlight colours and which checks you have switched on). These entries are created by our own application. Our PDF viewer does not store anything in your browser.
These items are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Third-party services
Some parts of our Service rely on trusted third-party providers to function. Depending on your use of the Service, these providers may set cookies on their own domains (not ours) as part of providing authentication and security.
- Microsoft Entra External ID (Authentication): We use Microsoft services to authenticate users. During sign-in and account security flows, Microsoft may set cookies on Microsoft-controlled domains to enable secure login and prevent fraud.
- Google Analytics (only after you press Accept): Google Ireland Limited provides the analytics described in section 4.1.
We do not use third-party services on our site for advertising or marketing tracking.
7. How to manage or delete cookies and local storage
You can control and delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Note that blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in or using parts of the Service.
